How to Sign Up to Volunteer
Step 1: Get Into the Volunteer System
Fill out this quick form to get added to our volunteer system: ​Volunteer Registration (Database)​

Note: You must complete this step before you can sign up for any shifts.
Step 2: Sign Up for Volunteer Shifts
Once you are registered in our system, use this form to select the specific dates, times, and roles you want to volunteer for (packing, distribution, driving, etc.): Shift Sign-Up

You must submit a separate shift sign-up form for each date or role you wish to volunteer for.
Step 3: Confirmation & Support

You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you need the day before your scheduled shift.

What To Expect with Us!
Here’s a quick overview of what your experience will look like:
Before Your Shift
-
​Check your confirmation email for all details (location, time, contact info) and read it carefully.
​

Arrive on time and be prepared to participate for the full duration of your shift.
​

Wear appropriate attire: comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are required.
​

Bring essentials: water, snacks, weather-appropriate gear, any personal medications, and a reusable bag if you’d like to take home items offered to volunteers.
​

Be fully vaccinated as required by organizational policy.
​

Leave valuables at home—the organization is not responsible for lost items.
​
-
Bring a positive attitude and a spirit of teamwork.
​

During Your Shift

Check in with the site lead or Shift Captain at the start of your shift.
​

Follow all instructions from staff and Shift Captains promptly and respectfully.
​

Be willing to help wherever needed—sometimes roles shift based on the day’s needs.
​

​Treat all volunteers, staff, and community members with kindness and respect.
​
-
Adhere to all safety and health guidelines.
​
-
Keep personal belongings secure at all times.
​
-
No photos or videos of clients or other volunteers without explicit permission.
​
-
Respect the privacy and dignity of all community members and clients.
​
-
Represent One Community’s mission with integrity and professionalism.
AFTER YOUR SHIFT

Help with clean-up and check out with the Shift Captain or site lead.

Optional: Provide feedback if invited, to help improve the volunteer experience!
​

Use your reusable bag to take home any items offered to volunteers.​​
